The Yarn Garden Blog

 17 December 2007

While I (Karin) am in Russia, I have had a fair amount of extra time to knit. I am thoroughly enjoying the time! By far, my favorite needles have been the Darn Pretty Needles. They just glide along and still have a GREAT point! I have made several pairs of socks (children's and adult knee-highs) with the Miski yarn. They are fun, fast, and feel great on feet! I just finished Dave's first sock made with Rustic Wool and he says it feels great (just a few more days and he will have a pair).  I also made a sweater with Magallenes wool (sorry, I don't have the tag with) for Ivan using the Knitting Pure & Simple pattern (top-down roll neck) and have had several people comment both on how great the colors are (I used the gold, green, brown, and red mix) but how SOFT it feels. I will try to post some pictures as I have access. Happy Knitting!
